Sing to the Lord<\/span> a new song,<\/span>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>his praise in the assembly of his faithful people.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

2\u00a0<\/sup>Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;<\/span>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>let the people of Zion be glad in their King.<\/span><\/span>
\n3\u00a0<\/sup>Let them praise his name with dancing<\/span>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>and make music to him with timbrel and harp.<\/span><\/span>
\n4\u00a0<\/sup>For the Lord<\/span> takes delight in his people;<\/span>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>he crowns the humble with victory.<\/span><\/span>
\n5\u00a0<\/sup>Let his faithful people rejoice in this honour<\/span>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>and sing for joy on their beds.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

6\u00a0<\/sup>May the praise of God be in their mouths<\/span>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>and a double-edged sword in their hands,<\/span><\/span>
\n7\u00a0<\/sup>to inflict vengeance on the nations<\/span>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>and punishment on the peoples,<\/span><\/span>
\n8\u00a0<\/sup>to bind their kings with fetters,<\/span>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>their nobles with shackles of iron,<\/span><\/span>
\n9\u00a0<\/sup>to carry out the sentence written against them\u2014<\/span>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>this is the glory of all his faithful people.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
